Once you log into the Eventene mobile app, you will see the calendar page. On this page is a calendar with all Eventene events clearly marked. Below the calendar is a list of the Events in chronological order. Pressing on a day on the calendar will focus this list on that day. You can also swipe left or right on the calendar to change what month is selected.
Please note that, by default, completed Events will be hidden on the calendar page. You can show these Events by going to Settings and turning on the “Show Completed Events” feature.
In order to see Event details, respond to questions, etc., you will need to select an Event from the calendar page. Pressing on an Event from the list will launch the Event Dashboard. If your account has multiple people associated with the Event (for example if you and a family member share an email address), you may see the Persona Select dialog box. If this box appears you will need to choose which user is accessing Eventene.
Please keep in mind there are two types of roles for an Event or Event Part: Participants and Contacts. Participants are regular attendees, whereas Contacts are in charge of Places (such as a car in a carpool). Therefore, Contacts have the ability to Check-In and Check-Out Participants as well as see Participant details. The Persona Select box will display all the personas associated with your account email address for the selected event. It will also indicate the kind of persona you are viewing. Take the example of a charity fundraiser. Paul Smith may be both a “Driver” (Contact) and a “Volunteer” (Participant). These personas are merged so you don’t need to manage multiple personas for a single person. Once you have selected the persona you would like to use, you will be taken to the Event dashboard.
Many Events may not have Contacts since you only need a Contact if the organizer requires additional information about a location. Often the Places list will simply indicate locations such as tables, seats, or groups.
